childhood

This is a random little piece I wrote in year 10 (I would have been 14) for a task in English called "describing the invisible" and to this day I actually still quite like it so I thought I'd post it to have it on the internet forever (or however long the internet is here for who knows really).

Childhood. A time for scraped knees and living dreams. A time where the only limit is your imagination and how far you can take each crazy story. A time where you can be as carefree as a butterfly, floating through life without a care or a worry. A time for tears, a time for tantrums. A time for fears and a time to imagine.
A time everyone wishes to go back to as the cold hand of adulthood whisks you away. A time where all you want is to be older, without realising the reality of growing up.
A time for singing, dancing, laughing. A time where you would smile so much your cheeks hurt. A time that flies to fast.
Don't blink because you'll miss it.

Goodbye

:)
